    1. Give yourself a good night’s sleep

People suffering from depression and anxiety slowly turn into an insomniac as they start imagining and start talking to themselves at late nights. If you are giving time to unnecessary thoughts and disrupting your sleeping pattern, then this might lead to more anxiety and depression in you.

Instead of imagining or thinking unnecessary things in your mind, just try to get a good night’s sleep. If you are unable to do it at first then do not worry, at first, it can be difficult to sleep early because it’s not easy to break an old routine.

You can do this in a number of ways like concentrate on your breathing while trying to sleep, try to relax your body, calm your mind, etc. If you follow any of these methods you will be able to sleep early.

    1. Practice meditation

Find a quiet place, it can be your room or the terrace of your house. Always remember that meditation is a state of being not doing, try to achieve that state by relaxing your mind and making yourself calm. Meditation is the best way to relax and throw away all the junk from your mind.

If you have a garden at your home, then nothing can be a better place than this because practicing meditation by sitting in nature will channelize your breathing better too that will help you in concentrating more on your breathing process.

9 Helpful Ways To Have Better Meditation Sessions

    1. Seek social support

In order to lessen the spread of the coronavirus, it is better to stay at home and maintain social distancing. But there are many people who cannot handle staying at home all the time and this has caused depression in them.

It is difficult to interact personally with others at this time but there are other ways to stay connected with your loved ones. You can create or join meeting rooms to interact with many people at the same time.

Interacting with people online is the best way for now and you can easily share your thoughts or how are you feeling. Sharing what’s inside of you is a great practice as you will get appropriate advice from others, so always share if you are not feeling well mentally.

    1. Be productive with your free time

It’s good that you have some free time if you are sitting at home, otherwise, we all were busy in our corporate world. Rather than thinking that you are isolated in a prison, consider it as freedom for some time as you never got time with your family much and never got a chance to do what you wanted to do if that thing is cooking, crafting, etc.

There are plenty of things to do while sitting at home. You can now pay attention to your health by learning and doing yoga from online videos, spend time doing gardening, washing dishes, or mopping floors. Who knows you might enjoy cooking once you step inside your kitchen?

Utilizing your free time like this will make you productive and will teach a few things in life like there is no shame in washing your dishes or mopping floors of your house or cooking food if you are a man. These are some basic necessities that everyone should do.
