Apart from being an immunity booster food item, jujube is also known for treating constipation, improving brain health, treating insomnia, and other health diseases. Not only this, references of ber have been found in Indian mythology many times where it says Lord Shiva and Goddess Saraswati really enjoyed the fruit.

Along with Vitamin A and C, ber is also rich in potassium, calcium, antioxidants, and iron. It consists of 18 out of 24 essential amino acids that our body requires. If you looking to lose some weight, then it is the best fruit that you can add to your diet as it is a low-calorie fruit.

Celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar who aims to make everyone fit by sharing various health tips also emphasizes this fruit’s importance. In order to make people aware of the richness of this fruit, Rujuta has taken this onto her Instagram account.

She also shared that ber is helpful in treating your dandruff and will also deal with skin problems. Taking to Insta, Rujuta shared a picture of the fruit and wrote in the caption, “Are you eating bor/ ber (jujube) in this season? It’s rich in Vit C (richer than oranges), lethal for dandruff, and the secret behind glowing skin. Also are great for kids who fall sick often. #Indiansuperfoods #seasonal.”

In her earlier post about how to curb sugar cravings, Rujuta tells the audience that how having fruit in your diet can help you in fighting the urge to eat anything that might be unhealthy. It’s better to start eating ber as it is a great immunity booster food.
