Aadhaar Card is one of the most important documents that one can carry in India. Yet, it was only available for issuing in digital forms and until yet, if you want a plastic print, you have to get it from a third party printer.

Now, the situation is changing and according to the official tweet from the twitter handle of UIDAI named Aadhaar, it’s confirmed that we can order ourselves a PVC version of the same.

Loaded with the latest security features, your Aadhaar is now more durable, convenient to carry, instantly verifiable offline. To order your Aadhaar PVC online, click https://t.co/TVsl6Xh1cX pic.twitter.com/79gfxaUga7

It adds mobility, security, and is more verifiable as it contains ghost images, QR code, issuing date, printing date, and even a hologram and embossed logo.

To get Aadhaar printed in PVC from and delivered to your registered address, the process is quite simple. All you have to do is follow the steps given below:

    1. Visit www.uidai.gov.in
    2. Find the ‘My Aadhaar’ icon on the screen and click it.
    3. Under the given tab, you’ll find ‘Order Aadhaar PVC Card’.
    4. A new tab will open up.
    5. In the new tab, you’ll be asked for a 12-digit Aadhaar number/16-digit virtual ID/28-digit Enrolment ID. Submit it and click okay.
    6. Enter the security code.
    7. An OTP will be granted at this time and will be received on your registered number.
    8. Enter the OTP and move forward.
    9. Check the ‘Terms and Conditions’ column.
    10. Proceed forward to ‘Make Payment’. The available option includes UPI, Netbanking, debit/credit cards, etc.
    11. You’ll be getting a 28-digit Service Request Number (SRN) after successful payment.

The charge for getting a PVC Aadhaar card is a mere 50 INR and you’ll receive the card on your registered address within 2 weeks to a month.

But if you’re facing a delay in receivable or want to know the status of your card’s arrival, follow the given procedure.

    1. Visit www.uidai.gov.in
    2. Find the ‘My Aadhaar’ icon on the screen and click it.
    3. Under the given tab, you’ll find ‘Check Aadhaar PVC card status’. Click on it and proceed.
    4. Enter your 28-digit Service Request Number (SRN) when asked.
    5. It will then show you the status of your current request for the PVC Aadhaar card.
