Bad Cap Review: A Filmi Ride with Familiar Twists

Bad Cap Review: A Filmi Ride with Familiar Twists

Bad Cop, directed by Aditya Datt, is an Indian adaptation of the German television show Kriminell Gut. The series follows a cops-and-robbers tale, shuttling between Mumbai and dense forest tracts where bad deeds unfold. Having watched six out of the eight episodes, I can attest that the brisk pace is the show’s strongest suit.

The plot revolves around doppelganger twins: Karan (a cop) and Arjun (a petty ‘chor’). Their paths diverged during their childhood, reminiscent of the classic Bollywood film Deewar. The series embraces its ‘filmi’ nature, complete with eye-rolling moments and predictable situations. Gangsters curse, cops chase, and bullets fly – all in a familiar rhythm.
