Vikram Vedha starring Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan, and Radhika Apte, is slated to release in the theatres on 30th September 2022. The first trailer for the highly anticipated thriller drama was released on the 8th of September, 2022. The movie is bringing back Hrithik and Saif together in a Bollywood film after over 20 years. The duo last acted together in the movie Na Tum Jaano Na Hum (2022).

Vikram Vedha (2022) in Hindi was first announced in March 2018 by the director duo Pushkar-Gayathri. Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan were approached for the roles in the film, but they declined due to various reasons. Even R Madhavan was considered to reprise his role from the 2017 Tamil language Vikram Vedha. However, he also denied it due to working on Rocketry: The Nambi Effect.
Finally, it was confirmed in December 2022 at last that the movie would star Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan as Vedha and Vikram, respectively. Later in July 2021, Radhika Apte was confirmed to play the role of Vikram’s lawyer wife, and Rohit Saraf came on board to play the role of Vedha’s brother. At last, in March 2022, the final casting for the film was done, with Yogita Bihani cast in the role of Chanda.
Hrithik Roshan will be seen flaunting an Awadhi accent in the movie due to Vedha belonging to Kanpur. Saif Ali Khan is playing the uptight cop who is on the hunt for Vedha. Radhika Apte is expected to leave her mark in the film with the significant role of Vikram’s wife.

Vikram Vedha has been delayed quite a few times due to unprecedented events. The shooting for the film was wrapped in June 2022 after almost 10 months of work. Earlier it was expected that the film, directed by Pushkar-Gayathri, would release in early September. However, no official confirmation was made from the production house, and finally, when Vikram Vedha’s trailer dropped on 8th September 2022, we got the news that it will release in the theatres on 30th September 2022.

Vikram Vedha is a remake of the Tamil language film of the same name. The original flick is also directed by Pushkar-Gayathri and stars Vijay Sethupathi as Vedha and R Madhavan as Vikram. Since the movie is being recreated, we can expect the plot to be identical to the original Tamil film with a few minor changes.

Vikram Vedha (2022) is jointly produced by YNOT Studios, Friday Filmworks, T-Series Films, Reliance Entertainment and Jio Studios. The movie featuring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan will be distributed by PVR Pictures, PEN Murudhar and Home Screen Entertainment. Neeraj Pandey is serving as the creative producer of this Pushkar-Gayathri directorial. Pandey made the decision to join the production despite not favouring the remakes due to Vikram Vedha’s connection to the folktale of Vikramaditya and Betal.
Since Vikram Vedha is releasing on 30th September 2022, you can expect the film to drop on an OTT platform in December 2022. Most Bollywood movies tend to release on the OTT services after about two months of their theatrical release date. The Hindi version of Vikram Vedha is expected to follow the same pattern.
