With two phone numbers in one smartphone, many times we need separate WhatsApp for office and personal use. Earlier, a third party app was required for this, but now companies are adding this facility in Android smartphones only. Companies like Xiaomi, Samsung, Vivo, Oppo, and Realme now offer ‘dual apps’ or ‘dual mode’ feature, which allows users to use two different accounts of the same chat app.

Companies like Xiaomi, Samsung, Vivo, Oppo, and Realme provide this feature built into their smartphones. This means you no longer need any third-party apps for this purpose. However, the dual-mode feature may have different names in phones from different companies. This functionality is available as Dual Messenger in Samsung, Dual Apps in Xiaomi, Clone Apps in Oppo phones, and App Clone in Vivo.

Running two WhatsApp accounts on the same smartphone is possible, and the method is quite simple. Here’s how you can do it:

1. Open the settings on your smartphone and look for the “Dual Apps” or “App Clone” option. This feature may be located under the “Apps” or “App Management” section, depending on your device.

2. Once you find the “Dual Apps” or “App Clone” option, select it. You will see a list of apps that can be cloned or duplicated.

3. Find WhatsApp in the list and toggle the switch to enable the cloning or duplication of the app.

4. Once the cloning process is complete, you will see a second WhatsApp icon on your home screen or app drawer.

5. Open the second WhatsApp icon and set it up using a different phone number than the one you used for your primary WhatsApp account.

6. Follow the on-screen instructions to verify your phone number and set up your second WhatsApp account.

7. You can now use two WhatsApp accounts on the same smartphone, each with its own phone number and messages.
