Link Your Aadhaar with Your Mobile Before January 16

It was a satisfactory moment for the people of this nation after they heard that the vaccination exercise will begin on 16 January 2021, as they were eagerly waiting for it. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made an announcement this week that the government will bear the first round of the expenses of vaccines for three crore healthcare and frontline workers.

The Prime Minister clearly said that Aadhaar Card will play a major role so link your Aadhaar with your mobile before January 16 for those who need to get vaccinated because identification and monitoring will be done through Aadhaar Card only. It will be easy for the health ministry to track records of the vaccinations as the Aadhaar Cards will be linked with mobile numbers.

For this day, the Co-Win application was created to keep records and to ensure a timely second dosage for those who have been given their first shot. As soon as a person gets his/her first shot of the vaccine, Co-Win will immediately generate a copy of the digital vaccination certificate which will be treated as valid proof that you have been treated with the COVID-19 vaccine. This certificate will act as a reminder for the second shot., after which you will receive a final certificate.

Like this, it will be very easy to send vaccination details to the Aadhaar users registered mobile number.

Documents required to update Demographic Data online

During the lockdown condition, Aadhaar issuing body UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) gave citizens the facility of making online necessary changes in their Aadhar card by comfortably sitting at their homes. It turned out to be a great opportunity instead of visiting any Aadhaar center.

This ‘Aadhaar Self Service Update Portal’ also known as Aadhaar Demographic Update Portal includes Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Address, and Language. But in order to make the necessary changes, it demands valid documents like for POI (Proof of Identity) – Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID Card, Driving License, etc. is needed. Whereas for POA (Proof of Address) – Passport, Bank Statement/passbook, Ration Card, Voter ID Card, Driving License, etc. is needed. If someone wants to make amendments to their Aadhaar Card regarding D.O.B then they have to submit a Birth Certificate, Passport SSLC Book, etc.

Where to register your mobile number with your Aadhaar Card?

If your mobile number is not registered with your Aadhaar Card then you have to pay a visit to your nearest Permanent Enrollment Center. This is the only activity that is not done online and for that, you have to go to the Enrollment Center.

It is very easy to link your mobile as you will only be needing a self-attested copy of your Aadhaar Card other than any other document like identity proof or address proof.
