Zee5 recently released a web series named ‘Black Widow’ starring Mona Singh, Swastika Mukherjee, Shamita Shetty, Sharad Kelkar, Raima Sen, Parambrata Chatterjee, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Shruti Vyas, Amir Ali, Nikhil Bhambhari, and Faisal Malik.

The show is directed by Birsa Dasgupta is adapted from a Finnish show with the same name, “Black Widow” It is a remake of a 2014 Finnish TV series, named Muskat Lesket. The much-awaited Indian version is the eighth remake of the drama, after versions in Estonia, Ukraine, Lithuania,  Mexico, the Czech Republic, Scandavinian and, the Middle East.

Black widow is a tale of love turned sour, which led to a betrayal and reaped by a murder. But with a twist.

Black widow is a crime thriller, with dark humor that sets it different from all the recent crime thriller, the theme not often explored in Indian Cinema.

The black widow’s stellar cast with its gripping story and astonishing cinematography give you all the reason to binge-watch it in a go.

The story is set in a timeline of 12 episodes starting with a scene of the three leading ladies with their husbands on a trip to the beautiful lakeside, and in few minutes we got introduced to the intrinsic tale of marriages that only seem pretty from the outside with a bomb.

The show works on a theme, that is a part of Indian cinema from time immemorial, women owing up to the injustice that has been done o them and then takes revenge on people who are responsible for it.

Black Widow is filled with an amazing cast with defining characters, Sharad Pawar as Jatin who survives the bomb blast and goes after the three leading ladies for vengeance. In the chase, we see how the intrinsically knitted friendship of Veera, Jayati and Kavita, unfolds due to rifts caused by revenge.

And when the story comes together it creates an amazing series for the viewers to watch and enjoy.
