Thai Massage Movie Review: A Quirky and Unique Tale

Thai Massage Movie Review: A Quirky and Unique Tale

Thai Massage Movie Review: An enjoyable tale that asks why society stigmatises longing for sexual pleasure during old age. Is one really supposed to turn into a monk with the passage of time? The movie puts it all forward with a tinge of humour that keeps it interesting and stops it from being preachy.

Thai Massage Movie Review Rating: 4/5

Thai Massage Movie Cast: Gajraj Rao, Divyendu Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Alina Zasobina, Anil Charanjeett, Sunny Hinduja, Vibha Chibber, Rajiv Nema, Saaket Chouhan, Anuritta K Jha and Sharad Vyas

Thai Massage Movie Director: Mangesh Hadawale

Thai Massage Movie Story: Atmaram Dubey, a well-respected widower in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, is about to turn 70 days in two days. However, before that, his family finds out about his secret trip to Thailand and becomes curious about what he really went there for. Is it only the sexual pleasure he was seeking, or is there a different motivation at play here?

    Thai Massage Movie Review

Mangesh Hadawale has managed to keep the film crisp and on point. There is no forced humour which makes Thai Massage easy on the eyes. He has understood the script’s demands and deserves praise for sticking to what’s best for the storytelling in this type of social comedy. The biggest problem with social comedies nowadays is that they tend to get too preachy, but Thai Massage steers away from this, thanks to the brilliant direction by Mangesh Hadawale.

Gajraj Rao is shining like a star in this film. Even though the film is not your typical commercial drama that will attract tons of viewers, the performance given by Gajraj Rao will surely make the people who watch this film fall in love with his skill as an actor. Everything is simply perfect, from his comic timing to his emotional approach.

Mark our words Divyendu Sharma is the next big thing in Bollywood. No matter what role you throw at him, he just turns into his own with his unique sense of charm. He is a rising star who continues to deliver one film after another. His progress in the film industry is remarkable.

Rajpal Yadav is, as usual, brilliant with his comedy. Without a doubt, he is the funniest of the lot. He nails his comedic scenes, and we could not have asked for a better person to do the job. The rest of the cast is also decent and keeps the movie free-flowing and easy-going.

Music is one aspect where the film really lacked the trick. That is often the case with mid-budget social comedies for some reason. Well, anyway, Thai Massage delivers on its premise.

We think it’s a fine film to watch this weekend in the theatres.
