Shraddha Kapoor looks completely unrecognisable as legendary Lavani artist Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar, and fans are going crazy over her transformation. Shraddha Kapoor will be charged somewhere between 35 to 40 crores for Eetha. This is a big leap up from her previous movies, and definitely indicates the respect she is receiving as a lead actor in big budget movies.
This isn’t simply a business film, however. The role of a real-life icon is a role that requires months of preparation – learning Lavani, perfecting the look, the dialect and expressions. Therefore, it is not surprising if a fee in this range is charged, as the work is quite extensive.

Eetha’s total production is estimated to be around 140 crores. This one has been well financed by Maddock Films, which has a reputation for supporting strong content-based films.
The period setting of the film — which is set in mid-20th century Maharashtra — means elaborate sets, traditional costumes, Lavani choreography and detailed production design. All that adds up. The budget is absolutely right, as Ajay-Atul have done the music and there’s a solid supporting cast with Randeep Hooda, Nana Patekar and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub.

Eetha Release Date And Teaser Update
Eetha is expected to hit theaters on 28th August 2026 with Raksha Bandhan weekend being one of the biggest holidays in Bollywood cinemas.
The official teaser has been released today on Maddock Films’ YouTube channel, and has already garnered over 10 lakhs of views in a few hours. The teaser was initially screened in theaters that accompanied Cocktail 2 screenings and then released online.
Eetha, helmed by Laxman Utekar with Kshitij Pathwardhat at the helm of the script, promises to be one of Shraddha Kapoor’s most significant films ever. Based on this teaser, it looks like this one’s got awards all over it.
