The investor is again back in the spotlight as charges of financial fraud have arisen against his wife and brother-in-law following the abusive phone call scandal.
BharatPe is currently investigating suspected frauds committed by its founder, Ashneer Grover.
He took a “voluntary leave of absence” till the end of March. The business describes this leave as in the company’s best interests, workers, and investors. He and his wife may have to leave the industry.

The Recruitment Scam
This series of downfall started when BharatPe started paying the expenses of HR consultants for personnel engaged via them. The firm was hiring personnel but falsely delivering a network of staffing organizations that had nothing to do with the job. All of them looked to be linked to each other, as well as Madhuri Grover.
Investigations evaluated the invoices for the fees paid to these consultants. Employees verified the date they started working, as indicated on the vendor invoice. In addition, They denied being hired or knowing anything about the supposed consultants.
The amount paid by BharatPe for undelivered services was estimated to be close to Rs 4 crores based on an investigation. Furthermore, the organization had identical email addresses, physical addresses, etc., all situated in Panipat. Madhuri Grover, in charge of recruitment, is originally from Panipat.

Controversy Of The Abusive Call
Grover’s leave mentioned above of absence was linked to an audiotape of him that leaked on social media sites a few weeks ago.
Eventually, the recording went viral but has now been taken down. It entailed a phonic conversation of two clients assaulting a Bank employee. The employee worked for Kotak Mahindra Bank, and the clients were Ashneer Grover and his wife, Madhuri.
Perhaps, Clients are overheard using foul words and threatening the employee. The efforts of the employee to calm the clients are evident in the audiotape.
However, things took a turn for the worst. Eventually, the Bank published stated that they were taking legal action against the couple for the behavior with their employee.
If rumors are to be believed, BharatPe is looking to remove Ashneer from his current position. So, things are not looking perfect for him in any case. Let’s see what the future holds for him, and we’ll make sure to keep you updated on that.
