Who Is Pranjali Awasthi? The Teen AI Founder Behind a ₹100 Crore Startup

Most seven-year-olds are figuring out how to ride a bike without falling over. Pranjali Awasthi was learning to code. That early start eventually led to Delv.AI, an artificial intelligence platform now valued at close to ₹100 crore, making her one of the youngest founders in the AI space to reach that kind of recognition.

Her story is interesting not just because of the valuation, but because of how naturally each step seemed to lead into the next.

Early Interest in Coding and Technology

Pranjali’s father, an engineer himself, introduced her to programming when she was seven. What started as childhood curiosity turned into a genuine interest in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and problem-solving well before most students even encounter these topics in school.

By the time her peers were starting to think about computer science as a subject, she had already been working with these concepts for years.

Moving to the United States Opened New Opportunities

When her family relocated to Florida, Pranjali gained access to more advanced computer science and mathematics programs than she’d had before. That environment gave her room to dig deeper into AI and machine learning, and she started working on projects that went well beyond what was being taught in class.

This hands-on experience turned out to matter a great deal for what came next.

Internship at 13 Helped Shape Her Vision

At thirteen, she secured a research internship at Florida International University, working on machine learning projects alongside her regular studies. The internship exposed her to a problem that researchers deal with constantly: finding, organizing, and making sense of huge amounts of information scattered across academic papers and online sources.

That frustration she observed firsthand became the seed for what would eventually become her startup.

    How Delv.AI Was Born

In January 2022, Pranjali launched Delv.AI, a platform built specifically to help researchers discover, organize, and summarize information more efficiently. Rather than building yet another general-purpose chatbot in an already crowded space, she focused on a specific, real problem that researchers and knowledge workers face every day. That focus turned out to be exactly the right call.

    Funding and Rapid Growth

Delv.AI’s growth accelerated after joining a Miami-based accelerator program, which connected Pranjali with mentors and investors who understood how to scale an early-stage startup. The company went on to raise around $450,000 from investors including On Deck and Village Global, and its valuation eventually reached approximately ₹100 crore.

For a founder still in her teens, those numbers are genuinely remarkable.

    Why Delv.AI Is Different

The platform’s core purpose is helping people extract useful insights from large volumes of research material and online content, cutting through information overload for students, researchers, and professionals. As AI continues reshaping how people find and use information, tools built around this specific need are finding real traction, and Delv.AI sits squarely in that space.

A New Generation of AI Entrepreneurs

Pranjali’s journey reflects something broader happening in tech right now. Access to online learning, open-source tools, and AI platforms means young founders no longer need decades of industry experience before building something that reaches a global audience. They just need to spot a real problem and have the skills to solve it.

    What Makes Her Journey Inspiring?

The valuation is impressive, but it’s not really the point. What stands out is the combination of early curiosity, years of consistent learning, and the willingness to turn a problem she personally witnessed into something useful for others.

From writing her first lines of code at seven to building a recognized AI company before most people finish school, Pranjali Awasthi’s story is a genuinely useful example of what’s possible when curiosity is given room to grow early and consistently.
