    Eating sugar is the very harmful, but what about the taste? Often for those who like sweets, everything seems incomplete without sweetness. If you eat something sweet, then there is a risk of a dangerous disease like diabetes. Which creates many problems at once. In such a situation, people stop eating sugar completely out of fear. But WHO had issued a guideline regarding sugar consumption. In which it was told that how much sugar can be eaten in a day and still one can remain safe from diseases.

    What are the harmful effects of sugar?

    Actually, eating sugar does not only cause diabetes but it also slowly spreads diseases in the body. Because sometimes due to blood sugar spike, other problems like weakness, dizziness start. On the other hand, weight gain, cavities in teeth are also very troublesome problems. Due to which it is better to stay away from sweets. Any inactive person who stays away from workout, jogging, exercise should not eat sugar at all, any kind of sweetness is harmful for such people.

    How much sugar should be eaten in a day?

    But the World Health Organization has told in a very scientific way that all kinds of sweet things including fruit juice, fruit juice concentrate, honey, syrup. 10 percent of the energy should be consumed by combining the sweetness of all these. It means that an adult person who consumes two thousand calories should eat less than 50 grams of free sugar i.e. sweetness obtained from natural things in a day. That is, less than about ten spoons of sugar.

    What should be the sugar quantity given to small children?

    For a child of one to three years, there should be about six spoons of sugar i.e. around 30 grams. For a child of 4 to 6 years, the free sugar should not be more than 35 grams and for a child of 7-10 years, the free sugar should not be more than 42 grams i.e. sugar taken from natural methods. Giving an example of free sugar, he says that 250 ml lemon juice contains 18 grams of free sugar. The quantity of this kind of sugar should be according to the age throughout the day.
