Instagram completed 10 successful years from its launch date and on this 10th anniversary, the platform is in the mood for having some fun. Instagram is out with a new feature where you can change the default icon of the Social media app.
Instagram old icon logo archives are live and are available to replace with your current new day icon. The option is hidden inside the app though and one would need to search for it rather than just get easily presented as always.

But first, a little about the icons that you might get to replace with the current icon. They share the history of Instagram’s 10-year run. Starting from the polaroid logo which actually caught the attention of many during the initial days of the social media giant.
This is Instagram’s way of showing that they do remember the past 10 years vividly and want the users to remember the same.
Those were the days when Instagram was just a platform for everyone to really share their memories from the platform’s medium. No annoying ads centered towards users personally, no media debate, no hate stories against one section of the society, and well! no 14 years old trying to instigate a political debate into a personal one.

So much has changed since then for better or for worse, but change is here. And a small social media app that lets you share photos have turned into an internet giant that has more power over the internet than any other single entity.
Now, if you’re wondering how to change the new icon with the old one inside Instagram, then you need to follow these steps:
- Open the app settings and start to slide up.
- Continue sliding up and you’d be shown a series of emojis one after the other.
- Voila! a popup will appear after a certain animation and you’ve found it.
- The option to change the icon would appear and a series of icons would pop up for you to choose from.
- Select your preferred one and it’s done.
- Enjoy your new Instagram look or should we say the old look.
