WhatsApp To Launch Email Verification as a New Feature for Login

All you need to know about the latest WhatsApp feature that allows users to log in through their e-mail.

WhatsApp is preparing to roll out this fresh feature, allowing users to link an email address to their account. This option is being introduced by the service owned by Meta as a means for users to access their WhatsApp accounts. Discover further information about the email login process and additional details below.

Email verification for logging in will serve as an alternative to WhatsApp’s primary login method, which entails receiving a 6-digit code on a user’s registered mobile number.

Whatsapp New Feature of Email Login

The new feature will be accessible in a new section called “Email Address” within the account settings. After adding and verifying an email address, users will be able to use their email to log in to WhatsApp. However, WhatsApp is not discontinuing its primary login method, which involves sending a 6-digit code to the registered mobile number. The email feature is primarily intended for situations where users don’t have access to their phone number or face difficulties in receiving text messages. Additionally, the email feature will be optional, so users can choose whether to enable it or not. Currently, it’s only available to beta testers and those who install the latest WhatsApp beta update for iOS.

Enabling two-step verification allows you to input your email address. This enhances account security by allowing WhatsApp to send you a reset link via email if you forget your PIN and a verification code when you sign up for your account.
