WhatsApp Rolls Out 5 New Features, Changing the Chatting Experience

Category-

WhatsApp, one of the most popular instant messaging apps, continuously improves user experience by introducing new features. To enhance privacy and security, the platform frequently updates itself. Now, the company has rolled out five new features that will make messaging even better for users.

Before releasing any new feature, WhatsApp first conducts beta testing and then rolls it out to all users. Over the past few months, WhatsApp has been testing several new tools, and now, it has started rolling them out one by one. Let’s take a look at the new features introduced by WhatsApp.

1. Customizable Chat with Colorful Themes

WhatsApp users can now personalize their chat experience with colorful themes. Previously, customization options for chat backgrounds were limited, but now WhatsApp has introduced 20 live chat themes and 30 new wallpapers for users.

2. Adjustable Video Playback Speed

WhatsApp has introduced a feature that allows users to adjust the playback speed of videos. Earlier, this option was available only for voice notes, but now users can watch videos at 1.5x or 2x speed.

3. Clear Chat Notifications

Unread message notification dots can sometimes be annoying, especially when multiple messages arrive at once. To resolve this, WhatsApp has introduced the “Clear Chat Notification” feature. Users can now control how notifications appear and remove unnecessary message alerts.

4. Unread Chat Counter in Filters

WhatsApp introduced chat filters last year to help users organize messages efficiently. Now, an unread chat counter has been added to the filter. This means users can see how many unread messages they have directly in the chat filter.

5. Meta AI Widget for Instant Access to AI Chatbot

WhatsApp is further integrating AI-powered features into its app. Users can now add the Meta AI widget to their home screen, providing instant access to the AI chatbot. To enable this, users need to go to Personalization > Widgets and place the AI widget on their phone’s home screen. With just one tap, the Meta AI chatbot will be ready to assist.
