10 Pro operates on Oxygen OS based on Android 12. At the same time, 9 Pro comes with Android 11 that is upgradable to Oxygen OS based on Android 12. 10 Pro has a better efficient processor with Qualcomm SM8450 Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 being able to clock 3GHz. In contrast, 9 Pro have Qualcomm SM8350 Snapdragon 888 5G capable of clocking 2.84 GHz at peak.

Although the OnePlus 9 Pro does fall behind against the 10 Pro in battery and processor, overall, the difference is not that great.
