    Masks Are Mandatory In Delhi, Rs 500 Fine If Violated

    The covid-19 cases are again rising in India, especially in Delhi. This is why masks are mandatory in Delhi keeping in mind the increasing cases. 

    Furthermore, if anyone is found without a mask then they will be fined Rs 500 as well.

    Masks Are mandatory In Delhi Once Again

    The Delhi Disaster Management Authority or the DDMA announced that people will now need to wear masks in Delhi. No one will be permitted to travel without masks in any public place in Delhi. 



    On the 20th of April, DDMA announced this rule. And, you will need to pay Rs 500 if you violate this rule.

    Why Is This Rule Implemented Again?

    The Delhi Disaster Management Authority implemented this rule on Wednesday. Moreover, this rule will keep the general public safe. 

    In the meeting conducted by the DDMA, the authority said that this rule is important. As schools, offices, markets, etc. are open, you need to take measures to keep yourself safe from the new covid variants.

    These operations can now be done with respect to the standard operating procedures or SOPs. The DDMA conducted a meeting to finalize a decision regarding wearing masks mandatory in Delhi. Furthermore, there were many dignitaries who attended this meeting. 



    The Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal was a part of this meeting. Moreover, LG Anil Baijal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, and Revenue Minister Kailash Gahlot were among the members that attended this meeting.

    Strict Implementation Of This Rule

    The Delhi Authority also said that they will take strict measures to see that people follow this rule. For this, the authorities may conduct random tests. 



    Now, keep in mind that the Delhi authority can conduct these tests in any public place including the metro, markets, etc.  The Delhi authority will also conduct drives to create awareness among the public. 

    This way people will also be aware of the rules and they will follow these rules properly as well. Therefore, maintain social distancing and wear masks for your safety and the safety of others.
