Positive Highlights:

A sleek design with a matte finish gives JioBook 4G a stylish and premium look. The blue colour of the laptop gives it a rich look, and the laptop almost fits in your hand with its grippy rubbery surface. 11.6 inches of screen is ideal for those who want an easily carriable laptop.

A 5,000 mAh battery is adequate for about 8 hours on one full charge. If that’s not enough, you can easily carry the charger, which is quite different from the traditional chargers of a laptop and can easily fit in your pocket as well.

Anti-Glare display in this range is just phenomenal. Jio has done a great job in this department. Also, the weight of the laptop is an added plus point which works wonderfully in its favour.

Passive cooling technology is a cool feature, as there are no fans either on the sides or the back side of the laptop.

Lastly, by running on Jio OS based on Android, the JioBook 4G is able to incorporate a SIM Card slot which will give the users easy access to the internet by using a SIM, which is already provided by Reliance. However, you can’t insert a SIM of your preference in the laptop.

Things Which Do Not Work in Favour of JioBook 4G:

2 GB of RAM is probably the biggest drawback of this laptop, as you won’t be able to run heavy software on it. The laptop can even suffer lags in day-to-day working due to the 2GB of RAM. 32 GB internal storage also works against the laptop.

Jio OS, a new initiative by Reliance Jio, has a bright future, but for the moment, it feels a bit lacklustre as most of the Android applications do not work, and you will have to get by with a limited number of options available in Jio Store.

Turn off button and backspace key are placed too closely, which can prove to be a nuisance if you are not extremely careful while typing.

Conclusion:

JioBook 4G is an ambitious laptop that does possess exciting features, but it seems Reliance has comprised quite a few specs that could have elevated its performance to keep the laptop under a highly accessible price range. We recommend it for students who do not need to work on too much software and mainly use basic features. This laptop is not meant for professional enthusiasts. All in all, a good first attempt, but it could have been a bit better.
