Here’s what to expect from the Google Pixel series:

    Pixel 6A

Pixel 6A, the flagship smartphone from Google, will replace its predecessor, Pixel 6, released in 2021. Pixel 6A is priced at $499, which roughly translates to ₹34,800. However, the product will only start its sale in the USA from the last week of July. Indian customers will get the smartphone later in the year, and Google will reveal the exact pricing for the Indian market.

Pixel 6A looks similar to Pixel 6’s design with a horizontal camera bar at the back. It will be powered by a Tensor Chip created by Google by taking part in research with Samsung. Google hopes to counter Qualcomm Snapdragon and MediaTek processors with this chip. Pixel 6 also had the same Tensor Chip.

Pixel 6A comes with a 6.1-inch OLED display with 1080p resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. The phone harbour an 8MP selfie camera and dual rear cameras. The cameras at the back include a 12.2MP camera as the primary one and a 12MP camera for the ultrawide view. Pixel cameras can record videos of up to 8k quality.

It will also include a 4,410mAh battery that Google claims can last for an entire day of usage. 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage is also part of the smartphone. Pixel 6A will support 18W fast charging and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity.

Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro

Pixel 7 and 7 Pro will be launched in autumn of this year in the USA. Expect smartphones to hit the Indian smartphone market in early 2023. The Pixel 7 and 7 Pro look almost similar to Pixel 6A, but the Pixel 7 Pro will have three rear camera setups to make its camera bar a bit different from the other phones in Pixel Series.

Both Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will use Tensor Chip Soc, an advanced version of the current Tensor Chip. Moreover, the latest Android 13 is expected to be the default operating system for these smartphones.

    Pixel Watch:

    smartwatch

To silence the rumours once and for all, Google has announced its Pixel smartwatch. Pixel Watch has a circular design and is made from recycled stainless steel. The proprietary bands for the watch are swappable. It will run on Google’s Wear OS 3, which will include various improvements with the navigation and smart notifications from the current Wear OS.

Google has collaborated with Fitbit to provide accurate health-related data to customers. It will also include Google apps, including Google Assistant and the newly launched Google Wallet. An exciting feature that can save lives called Emergency SOS is included in the smartwatch that will alert your closed ones in case of an emergency.

Google has been collaborating with Fitbit for quite a long time since the organisation acquired Fitbit for $2.1 billion. Fitbit tech will be used to monitor heart rate, sleep cycle, active zone minutes and more. Also, Pixel Watch will only be compatible with devices running Android 8 or above. Google labels it as a premium range product so expect the price to be on the higher side.

The launch date for the Pixel Watch is expected to be in October 2022.

    Google Pixel Tablet:

Google has teased a Pixel tablet for 2023 at the Google I/O 2022. Not much is revealed about the product except that it will run on the same Tensor Chip used in Google Pixel smartphones. Google has declared its vision of marking innovative technologies in every tech technological device. The pricing for the product is expected to be quite high, considering it has also been marked as a premium product.

Last but not least, Pixel Buds Pro is arriving in the USA market alongside Pixel 6A in July 2022. The Buds will sell at $199 and offer four ranges of colours, including Coral, Lemongrass, Fog and Charcoal. Whether the Pixel Pro Buds will be launched in India has not been answered by Google yet.

The Pixel Pro Buds will come with multipoint connectivity, active noise cancellation, transparency mode and a silent seal. They will also be IPX4 water resistance. The earbuds case will have IPX2 water resistance. Also, Google assistant services are accessible via the Pixel Buds Pro.
