In November-December, 2021, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going to conduct first-term offline board examinations for classes 10th and 12th. The board made it official last Thursday that it will release the date sheet on October 18.
This year, the board has come up with some modifications. It is targeting to conduct two end-term exams in February-March instead of one annual exam for secondary and senior secondary. Term 1 exams are going to be objective-type and the duration of the test will be of 90 minutes, replied the board.
Earlier exams were about to commence from 10:30 am, but the timings have been changed now. Due to the winter season, exams will commence from 11:30 am. Also, the second-term exams will begin in March and will end in April 2022.
What Sanyam Bhardwaj Has to Say About the Board Examinations?
The type of exam, whether it will be objective or subjective will depend on the situation of COVID in India. CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj says, “Once the term 1 exam ends, the board will declare the results publicly in the form of the marks scores.”
“No student will fall under the pass, compartment, and essential repeat categories after the first term. However, the declaration of the final results will take place after the first and the second-term examinations.”
Furthermore, he also added that “Before the first-term exams get over, the completion of the practical exams or internal assessment will take place in schools. The marks allotted will be 50% of the total marks and mentioned in the syllabus. The board will pass on every information separately to schools so that they can make necessary preparations.”
The CBSE offers a total of 114 subjects in Class 12 and 75 subjects in Class 10. The CBSE is responsible for conducting exams for a total of 189 subjects and their entire duration will be 40-45 days. Therefore, the board reaches the conclusion of dividing the subjects into major and minor subjects.
Meanwhile, Class 10 and 12 sample papers and their marking scheme are out for term-1 examination 2021-22. Eligible students who desire to appear for the examination are requested to check all the information on the board’s official website – cbseacademic.nic.in.
At last, the date sheets are out of class 10th and 12th. Students can check out the complete date sheet on the official website of the CBSE Board or else can ask their school to forward it. If you are facing any difficulty in both these methods then you can check out the complete date sheet here.
