    All Domestic Voice Calls Absolutely Free On JIO From 1st Jan 2021

    Now all users will enjoy free voice calls with Jio.

    As per directions of the Hon’ble Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (“TRAI”), Bill and Keep regime is being implemented in the country from 1st January 2021, thereby there won’t be interconnected usage charges (IUC) for all domestic voice calls anymore. Jio fulfilled its commitment to revert off-net domestic voice-call charges to zero, as soon as IUC charges are abolished.

    Now Jio will also provide free off-net domestic voice calls free from 1st January 2021. Though even before this, on-net voice calls were free on Jio.

    These are the benefits a common Indian will enjoy from 1st January 2021:

    • All calls free from Jio to any network anywhere in India.
    • India now will be a free voice nation.
    • Jio users will have the best tariffs option and services accompanied to Jio.

    Jio started charging customers for off-net voice calls when in September 2019, when TRAI has pushed the timeline in the future for the implementation of the Bill & Keep regime beyond 1st January 2020. Jio started charging rates that were the same as an IUC charge.




    But the time has come finally when Jio did what it stood for, to provide free but technologically advanced services to its customers.
