The tech-giant Apple has hiked the prices of its Bluetooth earphones called AirPods (3rd generation), AirPods Pro, and AirPods Max by up to ₹6,200.
The recent move was revealed on Apple’s official website, where the prices of products have changed drastically overnight.
The prices have been hiked due to an increase in customs duties by the government of India, raising the overall production costs. And since Apple imports almost all of its products, it had no option but to raise the prices of its products. Few other Apple products, including iPhone and iWatch, can also become expensive in the days to come.
Effect of Price Change:
The price for AirPods 3rd generation has been upped by ₹2,000, while Pro buds have seen a price increase of ₹1,400. The maximum alternation in price is done with AirPods Max by a substantial increase of ₹6,200. The new prices for the select products range from ₹20,500 to ₹66,100.
AirPods 3rd generation is now up for sale on Apple’s official website at ₹20,500, while Pro buds sell at ₹26,300. On the other hand, AirPods Max now costs a hefty sum of ₹66,100.

Apple launched Pro buds with revolutionary active noise cancellation and transparency mode. The product is sweat and water-resistant and offers up to four and a half hours of listening time on a full charge. It also comes with a MagSafe charging case that provides 1 hour of listening time with just 5 minutes of charging.
AirPods 3rd generation was launched in 2021 with IPX4 approved sweat and water resistance. It works with a MagSafe charger or a lightning connector for fast charging and offers up to 6 hours of listening time on a full charge.
Finally, the most expensive of the lot, AirPods Max was introduced in 2020 with nine microphones for enhanced active noise cancellation and voice pickup. The product with Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity offers up to 20 hours of listening time on a single recharge.
