NASA astronauts Col. Doug Hurley and Rob Behnken were all set to board the spacecraft made by Space X but were faced with disappointment due to bad weather conditions. This was the first time in nine years that any spacecraft was about to carry astronauts.

The scheduled launch for 27th May has now been delayed to 30th May for yesterday the weather was not optimal for the spacecraft launching. It was also the first time that a private space company was included in such a mission to send men in outer space.
Weather conditions were not that good due to the tropical storm-Bertha. Which caused quite an unsafe condition for the spacecraft and raised alarm which led to the cancellation of the event just 17 minutes before the actual liftoff.

Elon Musk has been working on his sending man to outer space dream for a long long time now. And evidently it’s about to come true. When he was asked about the same this was his words “This is a dream come true, I think for me and for everyone at SpaceX, I didn’t even dream this would come true.”
When asked about the SpaceX Dragon’s reliability issues and that would it be as safe as NASA’s aircraft or would there be any such problems? He replied by saying that he takes full responsibility and that he has already assured the families of the astronauts that he intends to bring their dad back home safely.

NASA also noted, “As we prepare for SpaceX’s first crewed test flight for NASA’s Commercial Crew Program, and the first time we’ve launched American astronauts to the International Space Station from American soil since the end of the space shuttle era in 2011, we are inviting the public to come along for the ride — virtually. While we cannot invite the public onsite for one of our usual NASA Social events because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are excited to present an opportunity for people of all ages from all over the world to participate in. This will be our very first global virtual NASA Social.”
