According to MAI, tickets for National Cinema Day on September 16 would price just Rs. 75 across the nation (Friday). The one-day offer will be accessible at over 4,000 affiliated theatres, including PVR, INOX, Cinépolis, and others. On September 16, cinemas across India will charge a set fee of Rs 75 for movie tickets to commemorate our official National Cinema Day. The Multiplex Association of India officially scheduled the conference (MAI). This will be a welcome surprise for spectators, who often pay between Rupees 200 and Rupees 400 for a standard ticket at multiplexes.

Third-party online programs or websites, on the other hand, may charge extra charges. The announcement comes just a few weeks after American cinemas announced plans to celebrate National Cinema Day on September 3 by offering tickets at a minimal rate.

This day is used to commemorate the successful reopening of cinema theatres following the setbacks caused by the Covid-19 outbreak. National Cinema Day will be held to encourage people to return to the theatres. As stated by the Multiplex Association of India (MAI), it is also an expression of thanks to viewers for facilitating the return of cinemas after a dreary period during the Covid pandemic-induced closure period.

According to MAI “National Cinema Day will bring individuals of all ages together to enjoy a day at the movies. It also commemorates the successful reopening of cinemas and expresses gratitude to the moviegoers who made this possible. “It is an invitation to those moviegoers who have yet to return to a cinema near them”
