Actor Shailesh Lodha from the popular comedy show Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah has decided to quit the show. He has been part of the show’s cast since its inception back in 2008.
He played the role of Taarak Mehta, a dear friend of the main character Jethalal in the show. He is often referred to as “Mehta Sahab” in the show. Interestingly he played the titular role but remained in a supporting position in the show.

Before him, the actress who played Jethalal’s wife had also quit the show. Fans are wondering why the show is losing its prominent stars, and it won’t be the same without them.
According to the recent reports, he has not been shooting for the show for the past month. However, he has not been seen in any other tv shows. Many believe that it is due to his image of the character of Taarak that he is finding it hard to get a role in any other tv serial.
Reportedly Shailesh Lodha was not happy with his contract and felt that the shoemakers were sidelining him and wasting his dates assigned for the show. He showed his dismay at the same and finally decided to quit the show.
The producers of the famous comedy show have tried to bring him back into the fold, but the actor has made it clear that he won’t be returning no matter what the show-makers offer him. Recently he appeared in The Kapil Sharma Show, and fans might have to wait a bit longer to show their loved actor on the tv screen.
