Shah Rukh Khan in King
Shah Rukh Khan leads the film and is reportedly playing an assassin, a darker and more intense role than his recent hits. After Pathaan and Jawan, King marks his return to the action genre with Siddharth Anand, and fans are expecting a completely new look. The film is also being produced by his own banner, Red Chillies Entertainment, along with Marflix Pictures.
Suhana Khan’s Big-Screen Debut With Her Father
King is a special film for the Khan family. Suhana Khan, who made her acting debut with The Archies on OTT, will now be seen on the big screen in a major role for the first time, and that too alongside her father. She is reportedly playing a young apprentice who learns the deadly trade from Shah Rukh Khan’s character. This father-daughter pairing is one of the biggest talking points around the film.
Abhishek Bachchan as the Villain
Abhishek Bachchan is reportedly playing the main antagonist in King. If true, it would be one of the most interesting face-offs of the year, and it gives Abhishek a rare chance to play an out-and-out negative role. His clash with Shah Rukh Khan is expected to be a major highlight of the film.
Deepika Padukone and Rani Mukerji
Deepika Padukone reunites with Shah Rukh Khan after hits like Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express, Pathaan and Jawan. The two are one of Bollywood’s most loved on-screen pairs, and her presence has added to the excitement. Rani Mukerji, another of Shah Rukh Khan’s most successful co-stars from films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, is reportedly playing Suhana Khan’s mother in the film.
Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Arshad Warsi
The film also brings together three veterans with strong screen presence. Anil Kapoor has worked with Siddharth Anand before in Fighter, while Jackie Shroff and Arshad Warsi add a different flavour to the ensemble. Their exact roles have not been revealed yet.
Special Appearance: Kareena Kapoor?
According to reports, Kareena Kapoor will make a special appearance in a song reportedly titled “Daddy Cool,” said to have been shot in South Africa. The makers have not confirmed this yet.
