Infinix has launched the GT 50 Pro in India, its most powerful gaming phone yet. The Infinix GT 50 Pro is priced at Rs 69,999 and runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset. It has a 144Hz AMOLED display, pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers, liquid cooling and a 6,500mAh battery. What makes this launch different is the box. Infinix is bundling a full set of gaming accessories, including a controller, a TV dock and a magnetic cooling fan, which it values at Rs 24,999.
The price is a big jump for the GT series. The GT 30 Pro launched in India last year at a starting price of Rs 24,999, so the new model costs nearly three times as much. Here are the price, specifications, camera, battery and other details of the Infinix GT 50 Pro.

Gaming Accessories in the Box
The GT 50 Pro is not being sold as just a phone. Infinix calls it a gaming ecosystem, and the bundle is a large part of the Rs 69,999 price. It includes:
- GT NX Controller: A console-style controller that holds the phone in the middle and splits into two handles, similar to a handheld gaming device.
- GT NX Station: A dock that connects the phone to a TV or monitor, so games can be played on a bigger screen.
- GT MagCharge Cooler 2.0: A magnetic cooling fan with RGB lights. It uses a thermoelectric cooler and supports 15W wireless charging and wireless bypass charging while gaming.
- MagSafe cover: A magnetic case that lets the cooler and other magnetic accessories attach to the back.
Bypass charging matters for long gaming sessions. The charger powers the phone directly instead of charging the battery, so the battery stays cooler and wears out more slowly.

Display: 144Hz AMOLED Built for Gaming
The Infinix GT 50 Pro has a 6.78-inch LTPS AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution (1208 x 2644 pixels) and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. For gamers, the more important numbers are the 330Hz touch sampling rate and the 2,800Hz instant touch sampling rate, which help the screen react faster to taps and swipes in shooting and racing games.
The panel reaches a claimed peak brightness of 4,500 nits, which should keep it readable outdoors. It also has 2,304Hz PWM dimming, which reduces flicker at low brightness and is easier on the eyes during long night sessions. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and carries TUV low blue light certification. An optical fingerprint scanner sits under the screen.
Performance: Dimensity 8400 Ultimate and Liquid Cooling
The GT 50 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate, a slightly overclocked version of the Dimensity 8400. It is an upper mid-range chip with a Mali-G720 MC7 GPU, paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and fast UFS 4.1 storage. This is a capable setup for titles like BGMI, Call of Duty Mobile and Genshin Impact at high settings.
That said, the Dimensity 8400 Ultimate is not a flagship processor. At around Rs 70,000, buyers can find phones with Snapdragon 8 Elite-class chips that offer more raw power. Infinix is betting that cooling, triggers and accessories will matter more to gamers than benchmark scores.
To keep the chip from slowing down under load, Infinix uses a liquid cooling system along with a six-layer vapour chamber. The cooling is also part of the design, as it can be seen through the back panel. The bundled MagCharge Cooler adds a second layer of cooling for long sessions.
GT Triggers and Gaming Features
Like earlier GT phones, the GT 50 Pro has shoulder triggers on the side frame. These are pressure-sensitive, so they can tell the difference between a light press and a hard press. They work like the L and R buttons on a console controller and can be mapped to in-game actions. The triggers can also be used as camera shutter buttons and for other shortcuts. The phone has customisable RGB lights on the back, stereo speakers and an infrared blaster.
Camera: 50MP Main Sensor with OIS
The camera is not the main focus of a gaming phone, and the setup here is simple. On the back, the Infinix GT 50 Pro has a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilisation (OIS). OIS helps reduce blur in low light and keeps videos steadier. It is paired with an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 111-degree field of view.
On the front, there is a 13MP selfie camera. The rear camera can record 4K video at up to 60fps and slow-motion video at up to 240fps in 1080p. The front camera can shoot 4K at 30fps, which is useful for gamers who stream or record facecam videos.
There is no telephoto lens, which most phones in this price range now offer. Buyers who care more about photography than gaming will find better camera phones at Rs 70,000.
Battery and Charging
The GT 50 Pro packs a 6,500mAh battery, which is large for a phone that is 8.2mm thick. It supports 45W wired fast charging and 30W wireless charging. It can also charge other devices, with 10W reverse wired charging and 5W reverse wireless charging, which is useful for topping up earbuds or a smartwatch.
The phone supports Bypass Charging 2, and wireless bypass charging works when the MagCharge Cooler is attached. This lets the phone run directly off the charger during heavy gaming, which keeps the battery from heating up.
Software, Build and Other Features
The phone runs XOS 16 based on Android 16. As per reports, Infinix has promised three years of Android updates and five years of security patches.
The GT 50 Pro has a glass front with a plastic frame and back, which keeps the weight down to 198 grams. It is IP64 rated for dust and splash resistance, so it can handle rain but not being dropped in water. Other features include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, dual-SIM 5G and a USB Type-C port.
Infinix GT 50 Pro vs GT 30 Pro: Why the Price Jumped
| Feature | GT 50 Pro | GT 30 Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Launch price in India | Rs 69,999 | Starting at Rs 24,999 |
| Processor | Dimensity 8400 Ultimate | Dimensity 8350 Ultimate |
| Battery | 6,500mAh | 5,500mAh |
| Wireless charging | 30W | 30W |
| Accessories bundle | Controller, TV dock, cooler, cover | Not part of standard pricing |
The GT 50 Pro costs Rs 45,000 more than its predecessor’s starting price. Part of this comes from the accessory bundle, which is included with every unit, and no phone-only option has been announced. Reports also link the higher price to the global memory chip shortage, which has pushed up the cost of RAM and storage for phone makers this year.
Buyers on a smaller budget can also look at our Redmi 17 vs Redmi 17C comparison for more affordable options.
Should Gamers Consider the Infinix GT 50 Pro?
The Infinix GT 50 Pro makes the most sense for serious mobile gamers who will actually use the controller, dock and cooler. For them, getting the full kit in one box at Rs 64,999 after the bank offer is a decent deal, since buying similar accessories separately would add a significant cost.
For buyers who only want a fast phone, the value is harder to justify. The Dimensity 8400 Ultimate is a strong chip but not a flagship one, and the camera setup is basic for this price. Phones with more powerful processors and better cameras are available around the same price. The GT 50 Pro is best seen as a gaming device first and a phone second, and its success in India will depend on how many players want a console-style setup on their phone.
The Infinix GT 50 Pro goes on sale on October 30 at 12 PM on Flipkart and the Infinix India website.
