Vivo V80 Lite Launch Date Confirmed: 10,000mAh Battery, Expected Features and India Availability

Vivo V80 Lite is set to launch globally in September with a massive 10,000mAh battery. Here is what we know about its design, cameras, display, charging and possible India launch.

Vivo V80 Lite Launch Date Confirmed: 10,000mAh Battery, Expected Features and India Availability

Vivo is gearing up to launch a new smartphone that could genuinely turn heads among buyers tired of charging their phone every single day. The Vivo V80 Lite is heading to the global market with a huge 10,000mAh battery in tow.

Vivo has confirmed the phone launches in Malaysia on September 3, 2026, at 7 pm local time. For buyers in India, that works out to roughly 4:30 pm IST. While the Malaysian launch is locked in, Vivo has not yet said anything about an India launch date.

The battery is obviously the biggest talking point here. A 10,000mAh cell is a lot bigger than what you would normally find in mainstream smartphones, and it could make the V80 Lite a genuinely interesting pick for anyone who spends long hours gaming, watching videos, travelling, or working off their phone all day.

Vivo V80 Lite Launch Date and Time

The Vivo V80 Lite officially debuts in Malaysia on September 3, 2026.

The launch event kicks off at 7 pm Malaysian time, so Indian viewers can expect it to start at roughly 4:30 pm IST.

Vivo has not confirmed all the markets where the phone will actually go on sale yet. More details on international availability should come around the launch itself.

For now, Malaysia is the only confirmed launch market.

    Vivo V80 Lite

10,000mAh Battery Is the Biggest Attraction

The main reason this phone stands out is, unsurprisingly, its massive battery.

The Vivo V80 Lite is expected to come with a 10,000mAh battery, considerably bigger than what most regular smartphones offer. For anyone chasing long battery life, this alone could be one of the phone’s biggest selling points.

A battery this size could genuinely help people who spend a lot of time away from a charger. Heavy gaming, video streaming, navigation, photography, and using your phone as a hotspot can all drain a normal battery fast, so that extra capacity should give users a lot more breathing room.

Interestingly, Vivo has already used an even bigger 10,200mAh battery in the Y600 Pro in China, though that model never made it to international markets. That makes the V80 Lite potentially the company’s first 10,000mAh battery smartphone to reach global markets.

What Will the Vivo V80 Lite Look Like?

Vivo has already shown off a few details of the Malaysian version.

The phone is expected to feature a flat frame and flat rear panel, giving it a more straightforward, modern look. That is a bit different from the curved design shown in an earlier Indian teaser.

The V80 Lite is expected to come in multiple colours, including black, green, and pink. Vivo’s Malaysian promotional material has particularly leaned on the pink and green versions.

On the back, the phone is expected to feature a square-shaped camera module housing the rear cameras, including a 50MP primary camera.

    Vivo V80 Lite Expected Display

The display could turn out to be another strong point for this phone.

Based on reports and certification-related information, the Vivo V80 Lite may come with a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display running at a 120Hz refresh rate.

If those specifications hold up, the phone should deliver a smooth experience while scrolling through apps, browsing the web, or playing supported games.

The AMOLED panel could also mean deeper blacks and stronger contrast compared to a traditional LCD.

That said, Vivo has not confirmed every display spec yet, so it is worth treating these as expected specifications until the company makes it official.

Vivo V80 Lite Expected Camera Specifications

Photography also looks like it could be an important part of the V80 Lite’s overall package.

Reports suggest the phone may feature a 50MP Sony IMX852 primary camera, paired with an 8MP ultrawide camera for wider shots.

For selfies and video calls, the phone is expected to come with a 32MP front camera.

A 50MP main sensor should give the phone plenty of resolution for everyday photography, though the actual camera performance will still come down to the sensor, image processing, and Vivo’s own camera software.

Since Vivo has not confirmed the full camera setup yet, it is safer to treat these specs as expected rather than final.

Vivo V80 Lite Chipset and RAM

The processor situation around the Vivo V80 Lite is a bit less clear-cut.

Different reports and benchmark listings have pointed to different chipsets. One Geekbench listing has reportedly shown the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e paired with 6GB of RAM.

Another version has been linked to the Dimensity 7360 Turbo with 8GB of RAM.

That could mean Vivo is preparing different configurations for different markets, which is fairly common for smartphone brands depending on regional requirements, pricing, and network support.

Until Vivo publishes the official specs, it is hard to say for sure which chipset and RAM combination will actually show up in the Malaysian model.

    Other Expected Features

The V80 Lite could pack a few more features aimed at making it feel like a genuinely complete mid-range smartphone, rather than just a phone with a big battery bolted on.

Expected features include stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and IP68/IP69 protection.

That protection rating would be especially handy for anyone who regularly uses their phone outdoors or around water, though it is still worth following Vivo’s official guidance on water resistance rather than treating any IP rating as a blanket guarantee against liquid damage.

The in-display fingerprint sensor should also make unlocking the phone quick and convenient.

How Fast Will the 10,000mAh Battery Charge?

A huge battery sounds great on paper, but charging speed matters just as much.

Earlier reports suggested the Vivo V80 Lite could support 90W fast charging. More recent certification information, though, points toward 44W charging for the Malaysian version instead.

If that 44W figure holds up, it is a detail worth keeping in mind for anyone considering this phone.

A 10,000mAh battery should offer excellent endurance, but charging a battery that size naturally takes longer if the charging system is not powerful enough to match it.

The final charging spec should become clearer once Vivo officially reveals the complete phone details.

Will the Vivo V80 Lite launch in India?

That is still very much an open question.

Vivo has not officially confirmed an India launch for the V80 Lite. The phone did generate some buzz in India earlier after showing up on an Indian retailer’s Instagram page, which sparked speculation that it might eventually land in the country.

There is another interesting wrinkle here too. The design shown in that earlier Indian teaser looked different from the one currently being shown for Malaysia.

That could mean Vivo is preparing different versions of the V80 Lite for different markets, or it could simply mean the earlier teaser was showing a different configuration or design variant altogether.

For now, buyers in India should hold off on assuming anything until Vivo makes an official announcement.

Vivo V80 Lite: What We Know So Far

The Vivo V80 Lite is shaping up to be a genuinely interesting phone, mostly thanks to its enormous battery.

That 10,000mAh battery could make it especially appealing to anyone who values endurance over having the thinnest phone possible. The expected AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, 50MP main camera, and stereo speakers could also add up to a pretty strong overall package.

That said, plenty of important details are still up in the air. The exact chipset, RAM options, charging speed, and full specifications may end up varying by market.

The September 3 launch in Malaysia should answer a lot of these questions. For Indian buyers though, the bigger question is still whether Vivo brings the V80 Lite to the country at all, and if it does, how different the Indian version might end up being from the Malaysian model.
