Heavy Fog and Pollution Disrupt Transportation in Delhi-NCR: Over 20 Trains Cancelled, Several Delayed

Severe fog and pollution have significantly disrupted transportation in Delhi-NCR. While flight operations at New Delhi airport faced delays, they continued despite poor visibility. However, train services have been heavily impacted, with over 20 trains cancelled and several Delhi-bound trains delayed, according to the IRCTC status.

The dense fog in the capital, combined with hazardous pollution levels, has created a critical situation. The Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi dropped to “severe plus” levels, with a reading of 483 reported at 7 a.m. on Monday by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
