Although it’s not as much as a cup of coffee (about 96 milligrams per cup), it can still knock your body’s natural circadian rhythm off balance. Tea or coffee can knock off our daily rhythm balance from light, stress, work, and caffeine.

You may increase your risk of esophageal cancer.

Drinking hot tea has been linked to esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (or esophageal cancer). Diuretics are substances that lead to frequent urination. Black tea and green tea are considered diuretics. Although peeing is good for your system, too much can cause damage to your kidney.

    You may experience constipation

Tea and coffee contain a compound called theophylline. Consuming theophylline from tea can lead to gastrointestinal disturbances. It can also cause constipation and nausea.
