Hosted at the King Abdulaziz Racetrack in Riyadh, the event spans two days of thrilling action starting from Friday, culminating in the prestigious Saudi Cup race on Saturday. With a staggering purse of $20 million, it stands as the richest in global horse racing.

The weekend extravaganza, dubbed a social highlight of the season in the Saudi capital, commences with an eight-race lineup on Friday, featuring the Invest Saudi International Jockey Challenge trophy contested by fourteen jockeys. Saturday’s main event promises the spectacle of top thoroughbreds competing in the Saudi Cup amidst a nine-race program, attracting attention and excitement from around the globe.

Scheduled strategically between the Pegasus World Cup in Florida and the Dubai World Cup, the Saudi Cup occupies a pivotal place in the racing calendar, allowing ample time for horses to compete in each prestigious event. Its timing coincides with the buzz surrounding the Cheltenham Festival, a highlight in British racing. Elevated to Group 1 status in 2022, last year’s edition saw Panthalassa emerge victorious, marking a triumphant end to its racing career alongside jockey Yutaka Yoshida.
