Suzuki is set to enter the electric scooter market in 2025 with an electric version of the Access, aiming to compete with Honda’s upcoming Activa electric.
The Japanese manufacturer has spent the last two years testing the electric Burgman on Indian roads. However, its first electric launch will be the Access, followed by the electric Burgman Street. Both scooters share the same platform, simplifying the testing process for the brand. This approach may be carried over to their EV models as well.

Similar to other Japanese automakers, Suzuki has been relatively slow in rolling out new products, particularly in the electric vehicle sector. With Honda set to debut its Activa electric this month, Suzuki is keen to establish its presence in the market.
While an exact launch date for the Suzuki Access Electric is yet to be announced, developments are expected around next year’s festive season.
