The second wave of Covid has struck bad and this time as well we have a significant loss of precious human life. Now, there are precautions in place in order to make sure that this does not happen again but what about the families of those who already lost their loved ones and in some cases?

Now, Reliance Industries (RIL) has announced that they would be giving a relief package to the families of their deceased employees. This would include providing for the family by disbursing the full amount of the salary of the employees to their family for the next 5 years.

Apart from this, the education of their children would also be covered till they complete any Bachelors degree from any college they want in any course that they are eligible for.

The families would also get 10 Lakh INR from Reliance in order to ease the burden on the grieving families.

Moreover, the family of the deceased is also covered for medical expenses and full fees of their hospitalisation would be covered by the company. Only the spouse, parents, and children of the deceased can benefit from this.

Of course! It will not fulfil their loss in any way but this is the most one can do in the real world in terms of easing out if we’re talking about employee-employer relations.

This relief package has been announced by Nita Ambani, chairperson, Reliance Foundation on June 2. She is known for her entrepreneurial mind and kind nature, which is why we often found her indulged in charitable activities.

We hope that this step from Reliance Industries would be the catalyst to many more upcoming announcements from companies of the same different stature. After all, if we do not take care of our own people, who will? Let’s hope for the best and we’ll keep on updating you on the same.
