Ponniyin Selvan: 1 is a historical drama based on the book of the same name by Kalki Krishnamurthy. The film has an ensemble cast including Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu and Prakash Raj.
