Itti Si Khushi Series Review: A Simple Story That Touches Your Heart

Itti Si Khushi Series Review: A Simple Story That Touches Your Heart

If you’re looking for a show that feels real and doesn’t try too hard to impress you, Itti Si Khushi might be just what you need. It’s one of those series that sneaks up on you with its genuine storytelling and characters you actually care about.

Sumbul Touqeer plays Anvita, and honestly, she’s perfect for this role. You can see the exhaustion in her eyes from taking care of everyone around her, but also her determination to keep going. She’s not trying to be a superhero – she’s just a young woman doing her best in tough circumstances. That’s what makes her so easy to connect with.

The story itself isn’t complicated. Anvita is basically raising her five siblings because their dad has serious drinking problems. It’s heartbreaking but also very real. Many people will watch this and think about their own families or situations they’ve seen. The show doesn’t sugarcoat addiction or family dysfunction, which is refreshing.

Then there’s the love story part. Anvita is caught between Virat, who brings excitement and passion into her life, and Sanjay, her childhood friend who’s now a police officer and clearly loves her. It could have been cheesy, but it feels natural. You understand why she’s confused and why both guys genuinely care about her.

What I really liked is how the show mixes serious moments with lighter ones. The scenes with all the siblings together can be really funny – they feel like actual brothers and sisters teasing each other and getting into trouble. It prevents the show from becoming too heavy or depressing.

The other actors do a good job too, especially Varun Badola as the father. He could have easily been just the “bad guy,” but you see glimpses of someone who’s struggling with his own demons. The kids playing the siblings are natural and don’t feel like they’re acting.

The show looks good without being fancy. Everything feels authentic – the house, the neighborhood, the clothes. It’s not trying to show off with expensive sets or costumes, which actually works better for this story.

What makes Itti Si Khushi work is that it respects both its characters and viewers. It doesn’t rush to solve problems or give easy answers. Anvita’s journey feels real because change takes time, and sometimes you have to make difficult choices about your own happiness.

This isn’t a show that will blow you away with twists or drama, but it will make you feel something genuine. It’s the kind of series you can watch with your family and have real conversations about afterward.

    Worth watching: Definitely yes
