Is Your Aadhaar Card Being Misused? Here's How to Find Out

Aadhaar card is one of the most important government documents and is required on many occasions. From opening a bank account to getting a new SIM card, it is used everywhere. Even while checking into a hotel, you are often asked to submit your Aadhaar card. In such situations, many users worry about the misuse of their Aadhaar card or personal data. However, you can easily check where your Aadhaar has been used.

With a very simple process, you can check from the comfort of your home where your Aadhaar data has been used. If someone has misused your Aadhaar card, it will be visible in the record. You can also lock or unlock your biometric information as needed. Let’s understand the process in detail.

Follow These Simple Steps to Check Aadhaar Usage:

    1. First, go to the official UIDAI website: https://uidai.gov.in
    2. Click on the “My Aadhaar” option.
    3. From the options shown, click on “Aadhaar Authentication History”.
    4. Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and the CAPTCHA code.
    5. Enter the One Time Password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number.
    6. You will see your Aadhaar usage history — when and where your Aadhaar card was used.

If you notice any suspicious activity or entries that you don’t recognize, be alert immediately.
