    Indian citizens now enjoy visa-free entry to 58 foreign destinations, with the Henley Passport Index 2024 ranking the Indian passport at 82nd. Indian passport holders can travel visa-free to popular tourist destinations like Indonesia, the Maldives, and Thailand.

    Top Ranked Passports

    • 1st Place: Singapore holds the top spot as the world’s most powerful passport, offering visa-free access to 195 countries.
    • 2nd Place: France, Italy, Germany, Spain, and Japan, each with visa-free access to 192 destinations.
    • 3rd Place: Austria, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, South Korea, and Sweden, with visa-free entry to 191 countries.
    • 4th Place: The United Kingdom, New Zealand, Norway, Belgium, Denmark, and Switzerland, offering visa-free access to 190 countries.
    • 5th Place: Australia and Portugal, allowing visa-free travel to 189 destinations.
    • 8th Place: The United States, providing visa-free entry to 186 countries.

    Henley Passport Index Details

    The Henley Passport Index, based on data from the International Air Transport Authority (IATA), assumes passport holders meet basic entry requirements, are adult citizens traveling alone, and seek entry for tourist or business purposes for short stays. It excludes scenarios like diplomatic travel, emergency or temporary passports, and transit stays.
