Kailash Mansarovar Yatra Guide: Routes, Distance and Tips

The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is counted among not only the toughest pilgrimages in the world but also one of the most famous ones. For your information, the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra begins on 30 June and continues till the month of August every year. A large number of devotees participate in this holy journey.

Do You Need to Cover 50 Kilometres?

During the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, devotees have to perform the parikrama (circumambulation) of Mount Kailash. This involves walking approximately 50 to 55 kilometres. This sacred journey, extremely popular among the devotees of Lord Shiva, can be completed in about 3 days. The parikrama of the Mansarovar Lake, which spreads across 320 square kilometres, is also included during the yatra.
