Four More Shots Please! Season 4 Review — A Warm, Emotional, and Confident Farewell

Four More Shots Please! Season 4 emerges as the most emotionally layered and mature chapter of the franchise, delivering a heartfelt and satisfying finale. Staying true to its bold voice and friendship-centric storytelling, the season strikes a careful balance between drama, humour, and glossy urban life while offering meaningful closure to the journeys of its four protagonists.

    Story and Themes

The fourth and final season finds Damini, Anjana, Umang, and Siddhi standing at crucial crossroads, bound by a new pact that forces them to confront their deepest fears, unresolved wounds, and life-altering choices. Instead of chasing the idea of a “perfect life,” the narrative shifts toward honesty—both with oneself and with friends.

Themes of relationships, career struggles, mental health, sexuality, and family expectations are handled with a more grounded and emotionally sensitive approach this time. The show leans into vulnerability, allowing its characters to break, reflect, and rebuild, which makes many storylines feel deeply relatable.

    Performances and Characters

Sayani Gupta, Kirti Kulhari, Bani J, and Maanvi Gagroo deliver some of their strongest performances across the series. Each character’s arc feels like a natural culmination of conflicts planted over the previous three seasons. Their growth feels earned rather than forced, giving the finale emotional credibility.

The supporting cast—including familiar faces like Prateik Babbar, Milind Soman, Rajeev Siddhartha, Lisa Ray, and Ankur Rathee—adds depth while neatly tying up lingering subplots. New additions such as Dino Morea, Kunal Roy Kapur, and Anusuya Sengupta inject fresh conflict and charm into existing dynamics, preventing the season from feeling repetitive.

    Direction, Writing, and Technical Quality

Directors Anu Menon and Neha Parti Matiyani preserve the show’s signature glossy, vibrant visual style while allowing emotional scenes to breathe with simplicity and restraint. The focus remains on character emotions rather than spectacle.

Devika Bhagat’s writing, supported by Ishita Moitra’s sharp dialogue, blends punchy one-liners with moments of piercing honesty. Conversations feel less performative and more human, moving beyond social-media-friendly quotes into emotionally truthful exchanges.

The background score and soundtrack continue to play a vital role, enhancing party sequences, heartbreaks, and intimate moments alike. Mumbai’s bars, apartments, and social spaces are styled to create a polished urban universe that remains integral to the show’s identity.

    Strengths and Shortcomings

The greatest strength of Season 4 lies in the chemistry between the four leads and their messy, intimate, and fiercely loyal friendship. The bond feels both fragile and unbreakable, making the emotional payoff of the finale especially strong.

The series resonates strongly with viewers who appreciate modern, independent, flawed yet self-aware female characters. Several arcs successfully reflect the realities of urban women balancing ambition, love, and personal identity.

On the downside, a few storylines veer into over-dramatic territory, and the high-gloss presentation occasionally borders on product-placement excess. At times, the show’s messaging can feel slightly preachy, which may not appeal to viewers who prefer more subtle storytelling.

    Verdict: Who Is It For?

Four More Shots Please! Season 4 is a rewarding watch for viewers who have followed the series from the beginning and are emotionally invested in the lives of these four women. It delivers a sincere, emotionally fulfilling conclusion to their unfinished stories.

Streaming on Prime Video from 19 December 2025, the final season is ideal for binge-watching—provided you are comfortable with bold content, strong language, messy relationships, and high-gloss urban drama.
