Here’s some important news for all candidates who have applied for CAT 2024. The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has activated the official mock test link for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024. Eligible and interested candidates who will be appearing for the CAT 2024 exam can access the mock test link on the IIM CAT website at iimcat.ac.in. Please note that the CAT 2024 exam will be held on November 24.
The CAT 2024 exam will be conducted in three shifts – the first shift from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM, the second shift from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, and the third shift from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. The CAT 2024 exam will be held in online mode.
Exam Pattern:
CAT 2024 will follow a structured pattern divided into three sections:
- Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)
- Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)
- Quantitative Ability (QA)
The total duration of the exam will be 120 minutes, with 40 minutes allocated for each section. Candidates will not be able to switch from one section to another during the exam. For reference, 66 questions will be divided across the three sections (VARC, DILR, and QA). Each correct answer will earn three marks.

Negative Marking:
The exam will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and Type-in-the-Answer (TITA) questions. While MCQs carry negative marking, TITA questions have no negative marking.
