Varun Dhawan’s action thriller Baby John had a strong opening but has seen a steady decline at the box office, with the total collection crossing ₹32 crore by the end of its first week. Released on December 25, the film initially earned ₹11.25 crore on its opening day, but its performance dropped sharply by 57.78% on Day 2 with ₹4.75 crore. The downward trend continued, and on Day 7, the film earned an estimated ₹1.81 crore.

Despite featuring Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, and a special appearance by Salman Khan, the film failed to maintain its initial momentum. Directed by Kalees and produced by Atlee (of Jawan fame), the action-thriller, a remake of Theri starring Vijay, received mixed reviews, with criticism for its slow pace and lackluster first half.

In contrast, Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, has seen massive success, nearing the all-time record set by Dangal.
