The story kicks off in Mumbai, where Sidharth and Tamannaah play a married couple heading back to her native village for Chhath Puja. Sidharth is visibly reluctant about visiting what he considers a cursed place, but Tamannaah believes the goddess herself is inviting them there, and eventually, none of his excuses hold up.
He ends up in the village anyway, face to face with generations-old superstitions and traditions that are clearly about to test everything he believes. “When faith is challenged, a legend awakens,” the trailer states, hinting that Sidharth’s character gets pulled far deeper into this mystical world than he ever expected, despite his initial resistance.
The Mysterious Warrior
Toward the end, the trailer teases a veiled, ageless warrior figure without ever showing his face clearly. A woman’s voice calls out to him, saying, “Veer, whenever these mystical powers become a threat to humanity, you must come back, no matter which era it is.” It’s a deliberately mysterious beat, and one that strongly suggests Sidharth’s character and this ancient warrior legend are connected in ways the film hasn’t fully revealed yet.

What This Means for Sidharth and Tamannaah
Directed by Panchayat creator Deepak Kumar Mishra, The Vvaan marks a genuine shift for Sidharth Malhotra, pushing him into full folk-action-drama territory. It’s also his return to the action space following 2024’s Yodha, after most recently appearing in the romantic comedy Param Sundari alongside Janhvi Kapoor. For Tamannaah Bhatia, this follows her 2025 Telugu supernatural feature Odela 2, and she already has another project lined up with Ajay Devgn releasing next year.
