Recruited by the PMO Secretary Rajeshwari Swaminathan, played with poise and authority by Priyamani, Zooni is tasked with dismantling the conflict economy and combating terrorism in the Kashmir valley, just before the implementation of the abrogation of Article 370. As she navigates through the treacherous terrain of corruption and militancy, she must confront her own demons and make difficult choices in the pursuit of justice.
One of the film’s greatest strengths lies in its portrayal of strong, empowered female characters who command the spotlight and carry the weight of the narrative on their shoulders. Yami Gautam Dhar delivers a commendable performance as Zooni, infusing the character with a no-nonsense demeanor and unwavering resolve.
