Akshay Kumar, the Bollywood actor, is again back in the news with him accepting the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Mahesh Manjrekar’s magnum opus film- Vedat Marathe Veer Daudale Saat. The movie is going to release on Diwali 2023. It will be the third back-to-back Diwali release for Akshay Kumar after Sooryavanshi in 2021 and Ram Setu in 2022.
Veer Daudale Saat is going to be a Marathi film which will also be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Akshay, a mainstream Bollywood actor, surprised everyone when he appeared at the press conference for the film’s official announcement. No one really thought that Akshay Kumar would actually end up portraying the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Akshay recently played Samrat Prithviraj as well. However, that particular role did not do any wonders for him. It will be the perfect chance for him to showcase his talent in a historical role. Chhatrapati Shivaji was known for his valour and positive mindset that set the stage for many revolutions.
Vedat Marathe Veer Daudale Saat can prove to be a very successful movie for Akshay Kumar if handled with dexterity. It is being produced by Vaseem Qureshi’s Qureshi Productions.
