Haiwaan OTT Release Date: When and Where to Watch?
Haiwaan is reportedly set to premiere on SonyLIV on November 6, 2026. The film’s digital streaming rights are associated with the platform, according to media reports.
The movie was released in theatres on September 11, meaning its expected digital arrival comes less than two months after its big-screen debut.
However, it is important to remember that November 6 is a reported date and not an officially confirmed release date. Viewers should check SonyLIV’s official website or app for the final streaming announcement.
For those who enjoy watching Indian films and regional content online, there are several other upcoming titles worth following. These include the extended OTT version of Jailer 2, which may feature 30 additional minutes of scenes, Vijay Deverakonda’s Ranabaali and Harish Kalyan’s Nooru Kodi Vaanavil.
Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan Reunite After 18 Years
One of the biggest talking points about Haiwaan is the reunion of Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan.
The two actors previously appeared together in the 2008 film Tashan. After nearly 18 years, they have returned to share screen space in Priyadarshan’s crime thriller.
This time, they play characters on opposite sides of a dangerous conflict. Saif plays a visually impaired man who gets caught in a murder investigation, while Akshay plays a revenge-driven character.
The film is also a Hindi remake of Priyadarshan’s 2016 Malayalam thriller Oppam, which originally featured Mohanlal in the lead role. Interestingly, Mohanlal also makes a cameo in the Hindi version.

What Is the Story of Haiwaan?
The story follows Shyam Rane, played by Saif Ali Khan, who works as a maintenance manager in an upscale residential society in Mumbai.
Shyam is visually impaired, but his other senses are remarkably sharp. He has excellent hearing, a strong sense of smell and the ability to understand his surroundings through sound and movement. He is also trained in martial arts, which becomes important as the story progresses.
Shyam shares a close relationship with retired Chief Justice Pradhan, played by Boman Irani. However, Pradhan has a troubled past involving Parshuram Gokhale, played by Akshay Kumar, whom he once sent to prison.
During his time behind bars, Parshuram loses his family and develops deep anger towards the people he believes are responsible for his suffering. After his release, he becomes determined to take revenge.
Worried about his safety, Pradhan tells Shyam about his daughter Nandini, who lives at a missionary school in Dehradun. He asks Shyam to protect her if anything happens to him.
Things take a dangerous turn when Pradhan is murdered. Shyam becomes a suspect while also trying to protect Nandini from Parshuram.
The story then develops into a battle of intelligence, survival, and revenge, with Shyam using his heightened senses to stay ahead of the danger.

Haiwaan OTT Release: What to Expect?
Haiwaan brings together two popular Bollywood actors in a crime thriller built around revenge, murder, and an unusual central character. Its story also offers a different kind of challenge for Saif Ali Khan’s character, who must depend on his other senses to survive.
Although the film received mixed reviews during its theatrical run, its OTT release could allow more viewers to watch it at home.
For now, SonyLIV is the reported streaming platform, while November 6, 2026, is the expected release date. Viewers should wait for official confirmation before treating the date as final.
