5 ways to Stay Cool This Summer Without Increasing Your Electricity Bill

During the summer, the only subject we worry about is our Electricity Bill. From the middle of Spring until the end of September, household power spending rises. First, because of the warmth, and secondly because of the humid moisture. We won’t be able to keep it to a basic minimum.

To keep oneself comfortable, we must rely on air conditioning systems (ACs), compressors, and exhausts. There are various ways to save cash over the summer months. There are easy and effective methods for accomplishing this.

With a little attention and commitment, you could cut your Electricity Bill by at least 10%. Follow these tried-and-true methods used all over the world to save money on your electricity bill this season:

Here is the list of 5 best ways to save your Electricity Bill this summer season

    1. Freeze your bedsheets:

How’s the feeling to lie down on the cool bed in this super hot weather? We must tell you it is one of the most satisfying things after a hectic, rusted say. So, put your bedsheet inside a polybag and put it in your cupboard, oh no no FREEZERS! yes, you heard that right store it in your freezer half an hour prior lying on your bed and have that Thanda Thanda cool cool effect. At least it is going to be effective for some while.

    2. Cold footbath:

Placing your feet in a cold foot bath cools your body and allows you to sit back and relax. Simply add cold water and ice cubes to a bucket of water. Immerse your feet and soak for up to 20 minutes. Add a few drops of peppermint essential oil for an added cooling effect.

    3. Sitali breath:

This yoga breathing technique has a cooling effect on your body and your mind. Sitali breath helps you to relax and cool down both physically and mentally.
      To do this:
      1. Sit in a comfortable seated position.
      2. Stick out your tongue and roll the outer edges together similar to a hot dog bun.
      3. If your tongue doesn’t curl like this, you can pucker purse your lips.
      4. Slowly inhale through your mouth.
      5. Then exhale out through your nose.
      6. This is one round.
      7. Continue breathing like this for up to 5 minutes.

    4. Go Low-Tech: Bowl of Ice and a Fan:

An excellent and affordable method to keep a room cool can be found using three things that are: a fan, a large metal bowl, and ice which are easily available. The air blowing around a large metal bowl of ice helps it to give a cool breeze. Even if the ice melts the water stays chilled and the cool effect of it stays longer.

    5. Get loose:

Wearing loose always helps when it comes to summertime jammies. Pick a loose, soft cotton shirt and shorts. Going full nude during a heatwave is (unsurprisingly) controversial. Some people believe it helps keep them cool, while others claim to go all-natural means sweat stays on the body instead of being wicked away by fabric. We’re going to chalk this one up to personal preference.
