    Mathura, Uttar Pradesh

    Mathura’s Holi is one of the best places to have a really awesome Holi experience. I’m sure you must have definitely heard about it. 



    Mathura is one of the places where the Holi festival originated. Here, Lord Krishna’s temples organize various events, especially during Holi. 

    Here, you will see a once in a lifetime event where singing, dancing, poojas and everything will take place in the birthplace of Lord Krishna himself. 

    Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh

    After, Mathura’s Holi, you should surely add Vrindavan’s Holi to your bucket list as well. You will see one of the best Holi celebrations here in the Banke Bihari Temple, in Vrindavan. 

    The Gopinath Temple is another must-visit place in Vrindavan, especially during Holi. This Krishna devoted places celebrated Holi to the fullest with colors, music, dance and sweets. 

    Banaras, Uttar Pradesh

    The next place on our list that you should visit this Holi is Banaras. Holi in Banaras is also really famous. But, one unique feature that makes it different from the others is the Lathmar Holi. 



    The Lathmar Holi is a very playful way of celebrating Holi. In this, women playfully beat men with laths or sticks. And men, on the other hand, have to protect themselves from this beating. 

    Generally, Lathmar Holi takes place one week before the main Holi celebration. 

    Udaipur, Rajasthan

    How fun will it be to celebrate Holi in a royal style, isn’t it? This is what you will witness during Holi in Udaipur. 

    Here, the royal family takes part in the Holi celebrations and poojas. Also, during the Holika Dahan, the Maharaj lights the Holika Dahan in the royal palace’s courtyard. 

    Did you know that the Holi celebration in Udaipur is called Mewar Holika Dahan? Now, this is because of the royal way this particular festival is celebrated in Udaipur.
