2026 Skoda Slavia Facelift Is Here: New Features, Colours, Price, and More

Bookings are open, prices arrive in October, and the sedan now takes on the VW Virtus, Hyundai Verna, and Honda City with fresh tech and two new colours

2026 Skoda Slavia Facelift Is Here: New Features, Colours, Price, and More

Skoda has finally lifted the wraps off the Slavia facelift for the Indian market, and it looks like a car that knows exactly who it is. The changes are not loud or dramatic, but they add up to a sedan that feels more current without losing the calm, grown-up styling that made the original Slavia popular in the first place.

Bookings have already opened at Skoda dealerships and on the brand’s official website. If you are planning to buy one, you will need to wait a little longer for the actual price tag, since Skoda says that will be announced in October.

A Familiar Face With Sharper Details

Skoda has kept the exterior changes subtle on purpose. The overall silhouette, the strong belt line, and the classic three-box sedan proportions all carry over from the outgoing car. What has changed is in the details.

Up front, the LED daytime running lights now come with multiple sections, and there is a new faux carbon fibre trim along the bottom of the grille. The bumper looks sharper too, with a textured air dam and LED fog lamps that give the face a bit more presence on the road.

Move to the side, and you will notice the same familiar profile, but the 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels have been redesigned to look fresher. At the rear, the tweaks are just as minimal. The taillamps get updated detailing along with that same carbon fibre style trim in the middle, and they now feature sequential turn indicators, which is a nice touch of drama for a car in this segment.

If you go for the sportier Monte Carlo trim, you get blacked-out alloy wheels, dark exterior trim pieces, red brake calipers, and a red accent line on the front grille. It is a subtle way to stand out without going overboard.

Two New Colours Join The Lineup

Skoda has added Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige to the Slavia’s colour palette, taking the total number of shades up to ten. The rest of the lineup includes Shimla Green, Steel Grey, Brilliant Silver, Candy White, Carbon Steel, Cherry Red, Deep Black, and Lava Blue.

That is a solid spread of options, whether you prefer something classic like Deep Black or something a little more distinctive like Lava Blue.

Inside, It Is The Same Cabin With Smarter Tech

Step inside and the dashboard layout will feel instantly familiar if you have sat in the current Slavia. Skoda has carried over the same design, including the beige and black cabin theme that keeps the interior feeling open and airy rather than closed in.

The centre of the dashboard still houses that floating-style touchscreen, but it now runs on an updated user interface. The two-spoke steering wheel is unchanged, though the digital instrument cluster behind it has grown larger and looks noticeably more modern.

What Is New On The Features List

This is where the facelift really shows its worth. The touchscreen has grown to 10.1 inches and now comes with an AI assistant built in, while the digital instrument cluster is sized at 10.25 inches.

One of the standout additions is rear massaging seats, which Skoda claims is a first for this segment. If that turns out to be true, it gives the Slavia a genuine talking point against rivals like the Virtus and the Verna.

Other features on the list include a single-pane sunroof, automatic climate control, a wireless phone charger, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car technology, keyless entry, and cruise control. Between the massaging seats and the AI-powered infotainment, this facelift is clearly aimed at buyers who want their sedan to feel a bit more premium inside.

Safety Gets A Small But Useful Boost

On the safety front, Skoda has added front parking sensors and a 360-degree camera to the Slavia, which should make parking and tight manoeuvres a lot less stressful.

The car continues to offer 6 airbags, electronic stability control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, all-wheel disc brakes, hill hold assist, rear parking sensors, and an electronic differential lock. The Slavia also carries a 5-star Global NCAP safety rating, which remains one of its strongest selling points.

Engine Options Stay The Same, But The Gearbox Gets An Upgrade

Under the hood, nothing changes in terms of the engines themselves. You still get a 1.0 litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.5 litre turbo petrol engine, the same two units that have powered the Slavia since launch.

The bigger news is with the transmission. The 1.0 litre engine now gets a new 8-speed automatic gearbox, replacing the older 6-speed unit, in addition to the existing 6-speed manual option. The 1.5 litre engine continues with its 7-speed DSG automatic or a 6-speed manual.

Here is a quick look at how the powertrains stack up:

    EnginePowerTorqueTransmission
    1.0-litre Turbo Petrol TSI115 PS178 Nm6-speed MT / 8-speed AT (New)
    1.5-litre Turbo Petrol TSI150 PS250 Nm6-speed MT / 7-speed DSG

That new 8-speed automatic should make a real difference in everyday driving, especially in city traffic where a smoother, more refined gearbox tends to matter more than outright power.

    Expected Price And Variants

Skoda has not confirmed a launch date yet, but industry expectations point to the Slavia facelift being priced somewhere between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 18 lakh, ex-showroom. It will reportedly be offered across six variants: Classic, Classic Plus, Signature, Sportline, Prestige, and Monte Carlo.

Since bookings are already open, interested buyers do not need to wait for the official price reveal to reserve their unit. That said, it might be worth holding off on the down payment until October, when the full pricing and variant-wise details are expected to be announced.

A quick note: some early reports on the Slavia’s colour options mention an “Arctic White” shade as the top pick, though the official colour list names it Arctic Silver. It is likely just a naming mix-up in early coverage, so it is worth double-checking with your local dealer once pricing is announced.
