Chicken Biryani is without a hesitation our #1 option for nutritious meals. Okay, it’s carbohydrates and protein, so give us a break! A big bowl of rice with raita helps us feel at home, even while we’re not at home. Thank God for Arabs, Turks, and Mughals chale gayee and Biryani chorr gaye. We owe much to the Muslim community, including Ghalib’s Urdu and Eid’s Sewai, but Biryani stands at the top of the agenda. Biryani has been a staple in Delhi’s diet throughout the years, and everyone has their own take on it. Let’s take a look at some of our favourite Biryani spots, from sophisticated to casual.

    1. Dum Pukht

This restaurant, located at ITC Maurya, is regarded as the best in Delhi and is noted for giving forth strong flavours of slow-cooked meals prepared from genuine recipes gathered from the imperial kitchens of Awadh. Their Hyderabadi Kachhi Gosht Ki Biryani is a crowd-pleaser that begs to be tasted. A lunch for two will set you back around Rs 3,000.

Address: Diplomatic Enclave, Sardar Patel Marg, Dum Pukht

    1. Dil Pasand Biryani Point

Mohd Taufiq would never have imagined being this famous with just Bade Ki Biryani, but a modest business buried away down in the bylanes of Chitli Qabar is guaranteed to command our attention, sufficient to include it on the list of Delhi’s greatest. Huge boneless beef pieces, pickled rice, their distinctive raita, and enough of onion garnishing are what turned us into lifelong admirers! We strongly advise you to pay this location a visit if you plan on exploring Delhi 6! A lunch for two will set you back roughly Rs 300.
